Olive May Thoms on sworn,
I am living with my husband
in the Married Quarters at Mount Austin barracks. I was in
company with Mrs. Vincent at the bridge across the nullah by
the sentry-box at Murray barracks on 22nd June at between 3
and 3.30 p.m. I saw a crowd on the bridge and went to see what was happening. I went and looked down into the nullah
towards the tunnel looking downwards. I saw a hat like a
round sailor's hat floating wrong way up. After that I saw
about 5 or 6 yards
a boy come down. I did not know him.
